Thoughts that went through Bobby Cannavale’s mind when he walked by me outside a bodega in Soho and totally checked me out: a coming out post on the occasion of Pride.

BOBBY: Now that’s a girl that’s not 100 percent gay.

BOBBY: What is she, queer? Definitely not 100 percent straight either.

BOBBY: I mean socially maybe we’re moving into a newly dynamic and flexible set of terms rather than the gay-straight binary, but c’mon in terms of utility meaning a common social understanding of terms, the gay vs. straight binary’s the one that’s gonna get you the most across-the-board recognition.

BOBBY: This gal obviously wants me to throw her into the bodega fruit. And I’m assuming pronouns here.

BOBBY: When we talk about sexuality isn’t what we ultimately are talking about sex? i mean wouldn’t you agree we’ve lost sight of what is actually going on, which is who and how you like to fuck, which when you think about it that way, is of course fluid?
